We currently have Virgin media TV size XL, with broadband and it costs us £47 a month.
We also have talktalk, talk unlimited with a "free" broadband and that is costing £23 a month.
We only need one broadband (for light use) a landline (incoming calls only) and the only pay TV channels we want is NatGeo and Living TV
Whats the cheapest route to get the above?

If your Talk Talk line and broadband are working OK, hang onto them and dump Virgin completely. You could reduce your calls plan with Talk Talk but it's hardly worth it.
Get Sky TV (free HD Sky+ box and installation for new customers) and opt for the Variety and Knowledge channel packs only. That'll cost you £20.50/month if you don't take the (£10.25/month) HD pack too (you don't have to) but be quick because Sky are changing the channel packs at the end of this month and the cost will go up to £25/month.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Excellent!
The only position for a sky dish is up by the TV ariel on the side of the house, will they penalise me for that?0 -

Its on a wall at the side of the house.
Thanks for everyone for their input.
I cancelled the Virgin media saving £40.
I cancelled the Talk 3 anytime saving £10.60
I order Sky Entertainment Variety pack for £25.50.
Total saving: £25.10 equates an annyal saving of: £301.20.0
