There's no difference (both 2 for £3) between red leicester grated cheese and red leicester block cheese, so it's savvy to get the grated ones unless you want to grate cheese.

You know that the grated one also contains potato starch, which is absent from the block stuff? This multiplies the carb content by 10 so there must be a fair bit of it.

does anyone use those toast bag things? i got mine from poundland. and put all kinds of things in the sandwich.

Love these and prefer to use them instead of toaster maker. They take up less room in cupboard and are easier to clean

Baked beans are good if you have a few to use up.
cheese and beans would work as well.

OMG haven't had this in years used to love it might have it for my supper mmmmmmm:j:j
  • I love toasties! Such a good cheap meal. I usually stick with cheese and onion or cheese and piccalili.

I tend to buy cheese on offer (like the recent buy one get two free) the grate a block at a time in the magimix. I find it so handy to have grated cheese on hand.

I didn't eat much bread before but I think I found a enjoyable way to eat it.
I'd be grateful if you could find a way of making me stop eating bread lol!

    What are your favourite fillings?
I don't eat cheese any more, but I quite like dry Indian vegetable dishes in a toastie (peas, cauliflower etc), with plenty of tomato relish. Yum.

Its hardly MSE to buy grated cheese, its virtually double the price, your paying someone to grate if for you.

Just buy the cheese and grate it yourself (you can freeze grated cheese)

thats what i said when my brother came home with some once, couldnt understand why pay extra for someone to grate it when you can grate it yourself
