Cheese (and any filling) Sandwich Toasties

Anyone have these regularly? I noticed if you buy cheap grated cheese (I like Red Leicester when it's on offer) and some ham slices (around £3 for both) you have a regular snack or supper for atleast a week - very MSE'ing

I didn't eat much bread before but I think I found a enjoyable way to eat it.

What are your favourite fillings?

I love putting the spread cheese on these (light garlic and herbs) and then topping with ham or chorizo, pepper and mushrooms

I love my toastie machine more than anything. especially since my main craving is cheese. I love making tuna, mayo and sweetcorn filling an then adding slices of cheese. once all heated up between bread it tastes amazing.

Cheese and pickle with onion, even better with a nice bag of crisps and a bottle of beer/lager.

Its hardly MSE to buy grated cheese, its virtually double the price, your paying someone to grate if for you.

Just buy the cheese and grate it yourself (you can freeze grated cheese)

Mashed banana - the ones you would throw out otherwise, with a little peanut butter. No, I am not pregnant, just a memory from childhood!

Where do you shop? In my local tesco 250g blocks of cheese are £1.65 and 250g bags of the equivalent grated cheese are £1.68

I hardly think an extra 3p can be described as "virtually double the price"

I don't think people do it, they have a machine to grate it by the ton.

I think you missed the point, which was buy cheap grated cheese when it is on offer.

Would buying a block of cheese for £1.65 be very MSE when the same cheese, grated is £1.68 but on BOGOF?

Or when it is reduced to 29p because it is "Best Before" today?
