Question to Eon Rep please?
Hi,
We are already with Eon for our electricity, and are wanting to switch to them for our gas.
The thing is, we went bankrupt in Nov 2007. At our old address our supplier allowed us back onto a credit meter for about the last 2 years, and we paid every bill on time.
Then we moved house last November, and Eon were supplying the house. Both gas and electricity are on credit meters. We stayed with Eon for electricity, and nothing was said about our bankruptcy. We went with another supplier for gas.
I read in another post that Eon either charge a deposit, or fit a prepayment meter if someone has been bankrupt. So as we would be wanting to switch to Eon for gas, would we be told this?
We have paid all our bills to Eon a few days after the bill comes. (We are on standard tariff, paying on receipt of bill.) Will this happen to us? I need to know before we decide to switch, because if this is the case, we won't bother, and will have to stay with present supplier.
Thank you,
Candy.

Hi Candy
Each request is judged on its individual merits. A credit check will be carried out which will include looking at the past history on your electricity account.
If all comes back ok, we'll be happy to put the switch through on the terms you want. However, if the credit check is negative, we may ask to fit a Prepayment Meter or request a security deposit.
Sorry I can't be more specific Candy but, as I say, each request is looked at individually.
