skimming and covering artex

In one of our bedrooms (approx 9' x 12'), I am getting artex covered over on the ceiling and I have just removed some fabulous textured wallpaper, so the walls need skimming.

I have been quoted £400 for the work, including materials.

Does this sound like a good price?

seems a bit high, but i haven`t seen the job, and depends where your based. If your unsure get another quote or 2.
