Bathroom Sealant - White or Jasmine?

Hi all,

Currently having bathroom done and I have travertine look tiles (pale colour) and a white suite. Grout is in jasmine and wondering if sealant should be too or should it be white? I've never seen jasmine, but bathroom fitter thinks it would be better to match grout. Also got some alcoves built in which he suggested should be sealed and if they are in white it will stand out and I want this to blend in. I know it's difficult to comment without seeing it, but do any of you have any knowledge in this area?

Sounds similar to my bathroom and I have jasmine grout with jasmine sealant (both mapei if it makes a difference) and it looks great. White sealant would have stood out and not looked so good

We found Ivory sealant to be a good match to Travertine tiles.

Thanks for the responses. It is so difficult to decide when I haven't seen any other colour of sealant but white! Ivory sounds ideal, jasmine would be better than white I think also!

Mapei Jasmine is what we would always use on Trav, Blends in best and makes the wall look like a slab rather than tile

Agree! Mapei Jasmine is Ivory and is a good quality grout and sealant. Would look far far better than white with travertine.

Great, I will let my fitter know tomorrow, I was thinking white with the bath, but actually think it will look better in the jasmine - thanks for the responses.
