parking in Luton

Hi
Where to park car in Luton?
I going on holiday at the end of the august for two weeks.. and airport car parks prices are crazy at the moment.
I was thinking to use Luton Railway station car park....but there it´s not possible to make prebooking....if anyone knows how easy it´s there to get parking space.
All another parking alternatives in Luton are also welcome.

Your best bet is to consult a tavel agency and see what they have. The best options are those which are distant from the airports but look after your car whilst their buses transport you to and from Luton. I tend to use those rather than plain car parks as at least if it is staffed, your car is protected plus in the event that the battery goes flat (as happens often with holidays, especially in winter), they will get it going for you. I used a Luton airport parking service late October 2010 but I can't remember the name. Had you said Gatwick, I'd have recommeded Cophall Farm.

Note that some of these PPCs (namely Cophall Farm) are head and shoulders above those that we name and shame on here. The term PPC has such a stigma that it shouldn't even apply everywhere.

Railway parking is GUARANTEED to be an ultra rip-off. The chances are also that it is all beyond electric barriers so there can be no evasion of paying, Byelaw 14 or not.

Always lots of spaces £28 a week, you can pre-book just turn up go to the office and ask for a week ticket.

There is a bus from the station to the aiport £1.50 single this run up to 23:30.

More details on National Rail website. Hope this helps have used this parking loads.
