building insurance - cost/commission disclosure

Hi ALL, I hope you can help
I own a leasehold flat and part of the contract is for the freeholder to arrange the building insurance for the whole building, as per norm. (and us the leaseholders just be good to pay without having any saying in it)
They have changed the provider couple of years ago, the premium has been more than doubled and it keeps escalating at a rate far greater than the rate of inflation.
There is an unoccupied flat in the building for over 4 years (now in an advanced state of disrepair) and I believe it poses a risk we are not covered for (also the freeholder's responsibility).
Any lead would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks, Less

CAN ANYONE ADVICE ME HOW I CAN GET THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO DISCLOSE THE COSTS/COMMISSIONS PAID (AND TO WHOM) IN RELATION TO OUR POLICY?

There is no requirement for general insurance commission to be disclossed. However, the company should be able to give you the name of the broker.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
