Going on House Viewings

Im thinking about moving and there is an area in my town I'd like to move to. Its a lovely green area with good schools - but - we have never been in a house in that area (its an estate with only 2 types of houses). We are not actually selling yet, but in order to commit to the idea, I would like to do a viewing of one of the houses but I have never been on a house viewing. Do I get asked a lot of questions by the EA, should my house already be up for sale? I don't want to be seen as a timewaster.
Thanks
Thanks

Be honest with the EA and tell them that you've never viewed anything before, and that you haven't placed yours on the market yet. They'll then know where you stand,
You may be asked questions, but why would that be a problem? You converse with other people, why not with an EA? You can also do the asking, if you want.0 -
Just answer the questions truthfully, many viewing are done by those who are not on the market yet and believe me the EA will be happy to sign you up as a seller!0

I would not want to show people around my home who had not put theirs on the market and just thinking of committing to the idea. Getting ready for viewings is hard work and time consuming so would not want to waste my time.0

So why not just look at Rightmove for photos and floorplans? An EA may be able to dig out old profiles of properties that have been sold on that estate in order to secure your interest.
In the eyes of an EA, everyone's a potential punter!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I have sold houses to people who did not have their house on the market yet so I think especially in the times of difficulty in selling this may be a bit short sighted.
Some people decide to buy and let their current property, some people have cash available, some people can actually sell quicker than you can!0 -
Ask the agents if there are any open days for the area you are interested in. That way a seller hasn't had to get the house clean and tidy just for you.0
