Warning - Wightlink Fishbourne to Porthsmouth

They were down to three ferries on Saturday 6th, and the Saturday previously, causing delays of up to 90 minutes on scheduled sailings. They handled this very well at Portsmouth where they have an overflow car park and they handed out notices explaining what was happening. (Praise).
At Fishbourne we queued for 90 minutes to get to the terminal gates and then told to return in 45 minutes, which we did by rejoining the end of the queue. The electronic sign did not provide any advice so the staff were constantly harassed by passengers wanting to know what was going on. (Mini vent).
By all means try their website and information line (0871 376 1000) but they were not updated and jammed respectively.
It's a live show and things go wrong but an accurate electronic sign with meaningful information at the junction of the access road would reduce frustration and could means the community support officer who was present at the gates could do something else.
