any recommendations for Basic/Current Account in Spain?

Hi all
I was wondering if anyone could recommend any Banks in Spain with which to open a basic current account? I am thinking of opening a Non-Residential account initially and eventually transfering/changing it into a Residential once I am settled, and have a job contract which allows me to do so.
The temptation would be to go for one of the banks that we have in the UK for reasons of familiarity but I know these won't be necessarily the best. Any advice is much appreciated - thanks
EDIT: I've read a couple of posts which mention the Citibank Euro Account - is this a viable option, either short or long term (i.e. Maybe for a couple of months? or does it remove the need to set up a Spanish account?)
the citibank euro account seems to be very good....

We use bancaja for our villa account & have always found them to be really good & helpful.
Plus their online banking site is pretty good too.
