Hi, I hope you can help. I want to check my credit report but experian and equifax etc need a debit card number even for a free trial to "verify your identity". I just have a basic bank account with a cash card but no debit card. My partner and I use his debit card to buy things online etc but that would be no good to verify my identity! So how can I check my credit report without a debit card?

prepaid cards seem to work with EquifaxHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Think you can order your statutory report (£2) via post using a cheque or postal order.0

Not an answer to your immediate question but are you aware that most banks' Basic Bank Accounts now offer a "debit card" rather than a "cash card"? The notable exceptions being HSBC and Santander. Info here...

Try giving them a prepaid debit card number such as the o2 money card.0
