If you have sky+ its on at silly o'clock (something like 2am and 3am) probably other times as well but not noticed it. As said above just search for it and you should find it. You can just put extreme in the search bit and it should be on the list somewhere..

I like to watch each episode a few times before it gets deleted to make room for other programmes, they are so addictive to watch....
    ___

Watching this don't you think some people buy to many of somethings just because said item is free? Not everyone gives stuff to charity and even with a 2 year sell by date with the amount some people have of certain products I can't see how they get used in time. If there not giving it to charity, better to buy less, although I can see where buying more is good, only in the case where the money you get back from buying an item would go towards helping you buy something else that wasn't free..

Funnily enough l was going to start the same thread, and l've now found the above threads, so l'm going to give this a go.....

Trouble is in some stores (Morrisons for example) you're limited to the number of deals you can have, although l wouldn't be greedy like the American woman who cleared the shelf - all but one on the shelf of mustard. She reckoned it wouldn't go off but surely it would go off before you ate 53 bottles of the stuff :rotfl:

And can you honestly see a UK store manager applauding you like the American ones did? You'd be hoiked out of the store and banned before you knew it.

Well we are getting more americanised over here so maybe it will come over here too, but I had to laugh and agree with Sassyblue the miserable managers and staff would chuck you out of the stores. - unless you had a camera crew with you, and could you imagine ringing up Asda and asking them to get you 400 bottles of pop ready, at xmas I couldn't even get a pack of guinness and it was on offer
  • The biggest reason we could never make the savings these people in America do is because the UK has one key difference in the rules of coupon use 'you cannot use a coupon when the item in also on sale' and when watching this US programme this is the fundamental point of their success.. they have a money off coupon, then they look for the store that item is on offer in, therefore they end up with it almost free or free.. We couldn't do this as we could only use the money off coupon, or the store offer.. crappy eh?

  • It's a shame they don't double our coupons over here.
    New year, new comper here!
Wins for January- 2 free chapsticks, Celebrations.
  • It makes me mad watching this program. I get so envious of the dozens of coupons (many getting doubled) successfully presented at the till.
We don't get the availability of newspaper inserts/leaflets/flyers and you can be met with supermarket staff who are resentful and ignorant.
I once had a po-faced trout of a server who rang her bell for her clueless supervisor before my one coupon was eventually accepted.
Extreme couponing will NEVER catch on here.

It will not work in UK we are different fist from the US.

    1) UK supermarkets only get 2p per voucher from the clearing house.

    2) Asda /Tesco only accept certain amounts of coupons to go through the till.

    3) Sainsbury/Morrisons will limit the use of coupons so that other customers will benefit from it too.

    5) If you think our supermarkets going to let you use coupons to pay for all your stuff - you will find that you are surrounded by floor supervisors/store managers and customer service checking each coupons you used as if you are stealing from them.

    6) It is up to the store Managers/Supervisors to accept your coupons or not - especially the printable type. They have been accusing some of us couponers as fraud - which is true and we know "some" tried to do it - so you have to appreciate why they are so strict with those who uses stacks of coupons in one till.

Lastly : The checkout staff (this is the part all of us hate!) especially the late 30's and Female:eek: and Tesco staff are notorious for this. We have a special name for them too;)

They get very jealous and unfriendly when you give them sh*tload of vouchers to scan and they do try their best to make you look like an idiot. Sometime they will intimidate you too and embarrassed you in front of other customers. They will pretend that the coupons will not scan and call for help. And thats where Uncle Phil comes in ( he is the CEO in Dundee) - if they (the store Manager/staff) give us hell, rude or anything we email to Uncle Phil and complain almost anything:D - so we give them hell too;) (name & shame - do remember to take note of their names) and as part of their apology "sometime you get money card" as a goodwill gesture.

So enjoy couponing just don't break the rule.

Just remeber each stores in Tesco make up their own rules as they go along.

This week you might find that you have no problems using coupons and next week they will said "we don't accept this & that and it limited to 1 coupon use only" - when you ask them when did that condition came in they will said - it has been like this all along or the rules changes since 3 weeks ago. And yet we regulars know it did not.

You just have to go with the flow when using coupons in Tesco. They can't make up their mind when it comes to us using coupons. Its like if they don't accept all your coupons & you can give them back all the groceries that you have packed and go elsewhere and they will be like - not only we got rid of coupon users, now we have to re-stack all the groceries back to the shelves!

For those with low income - there are stores like Netto/Aldi/Home Bargains/Lidl - they sell the same food as high street supermarket and way cheaper than using coupons. Its only the brand - baked beans are baked beans. Like this week Netto is selling 4 cans of HP beans for £1 and Plum tomatoes in tin 5 for £1 but alas I don't have Netto in my area the nearest is 12 miles away!

we don't have the amount of coupons, also most supermarkets have a limit on how many coupons you can use, or the percentage of your bill that can be paid by coupons.

if you could do it here, i would!

I absolutely love this programme. I do wonder though how they manage to fit the couponing in to their lives. I only wish that we had this amount of coupons available to us as I would be first in line at the checkout with my stash!
  • I too love this programme, and have them all saved on my Sky+ box!

Have been doing couponing for about 3 months but only started to take note of all my savings since the end of August and have saved nearly £140.00! Would love to do it like the Americans though!
