Not 100% sure where this goes, but a guy keeps double parking in the street with

a company van which would block the street for emergency services...this also happened a few months ago with the same guy and the fire engine had to go around the block to get into the street.
What to do - can I take a picture and forward it onto someone?

If its the same company, you need to contact the head office/sole trader first before reporting it to anyone else. May be the guy is just thick and don't realise he is blocking the street.Nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. - Alex Supertramp0

If he's blocking the street there's no "may be" about it - unless he's just ignorant.0 -
We've had the same at a previous house where a HGV driver started to use a narrow side street to park his lorry whilst at the pub, neither ambulance or fire engine would be able to get down the street. A quick call to our local council (out of hours) and it was being towed within an hour. They first sent round a traffic warden on a scooter, who then called in a tow truck.0

If a fire engine needs to get down the road because someone's life is in danger they can push a vehicle out of the way using the fire engine.
Any damage is the owners problem as they were blocking the access, they won't receive any money from their insurance either.0 -

But it can waste valuable time. I for one would be pretty annoyed if my son/daughter/mother/husband died in a house fire because some ignorant retard was blocked the road.0 -
Don't worry it won't waste more than a couple of seconds, they will just do it and they aren't gentle about it.
I have seen it done to a car and there wasn't much left of the car after they barged it out of the way.0 -
Presumably the blocker is liable for the damage to the fire engine?0

why not put a polite note on the windscreen first - explaining about the fire engine having to re-route ?0

I would call the council the without any hesitation the next time that he does this. Too many people are prepared to either inconvenience or endanger others in order to save themselves from having to walk a few extra yards.
A fire engine may be able to push the van out of the way with only minimal delay, but an ambulance is a different matter and this idiot could cost someone their life.
Forget about the polite note on the windscreen. The bill to get the van released from a compound will be far more effective."When the people fear the government there is tyranny, when the government fears the people there is liberty." - Thomas Jefferson0 -
If OP lives in London there's a good chance that the van was "taken care of" over the weekend.
Problemo solved :beer:0
