Need new sofa - but what if the area is too small?

I've been looking at buying a new sofa - a leather recliner.
My sofa has a curved corner, so even though it is technically longer that the space allows, it works.
I have a wall at one end, and a door on the back wall at the other end.
So any longer and a sofa would 'cross' the door to a cupboard I use every day.
I've looked at many sofas. I've fallen in love with one. Bu tit's 224cm longer, yet the space allowed is just 180cm.
I'd like any advice people have on how to get a new sofa, as you just cannot get them my length anymore. If you can, you will be hard pushed to find them.
What should I do - serious suggestions only please (not like "knock your wall down").
Regards
Simon

I found real variations in lengths of sofas, both within a single manufacturer and between them. I used paper templates the shape of the sofa to measure it out on the floor, did lots of measuring.
I've had to compromise on what I wanted because I know it will not fit in my room.
Beware that if you order the sofa and it either won't go into the room, or is too big for the room once you've got it through the door, you can't generally return it.0 -
I was hoping more to hear of ways to make sofas fit.
Like casters, or places where you can buy sofas that are custom made to the centimetre.
I know all the rest, but thank you.0
