Best PAYG sim for USA

I'm travelling to Florida for 2 weeks and I'm trying to work out if I'm better off getting a sim card once I'm out there or using my giffgaff sim. I'll most likely to be using my phone (it's an unlocked Iphone 4) to phone my friend who I'll be staying with in Florida. I'm thinking that I might be better getting a local sim and putting it in my phone rather than using the roaming rates as I'll be charged to receive a call and she'll be charged a lot to call me. I'm not planning on using it to call the UK as I've got Skype and can use my friends internet once back at her house.

Anyone got any advice please?

you could buy one from ebay already activated for USA

$5 for 10MB, $15 for 100MB and $25 for 500MB.

guy from usa charges about 4.50-5.00 for them

Your iphone will always use data in the bacgroud so seems resonable for data charge you may even be able to leave your skype on i think 500mb is enough

The rates he quoted for data are as above and if somone one calls you while you are there no charge so I thik its best to leave your giff gaff at home
