Washing Machine Repair Manual

Hi guys,
Any idea where I can get a DIY washing machine repair manual from ?
My Servis M9004AL (about 3 years old) has a really bad electrical burning smell when in use. I have been told (over the phone), that the motor has gone on it, and will cost about £200 to replace.
I read that it could be as simple as changing the carbon brushes - but can't afford a new washer dryer at the minute !!
Cheers

If you actually want a general manual I think Haynes do one.A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

Our local library has them in the DIY section, search for, ISBN 1844253481
"The washing machine manual, DIY plumbing, fault-finding, repair and maintenance, Graham Dixon"I love my spell checker, it stops me making all sorts of stupid smelling mistakes. :doh:0 -

Had an old Servis Quartz washing machine for 20yrs, only thing that went was
motor brushes every 6/7 years. Reasonably easy to replace if you know a bit of DIY. Don't ever recall a bad electrical smell, usually just an error code...
DO remove plug from mains before opening!!!
Also note - it's best to take brushes out first, motors and brushes can vary
even for the same model. Set of brushes was around £10 max.
Drum finally split!!0
