Firstdirect - will I get £100 just by transferring salary from my other bank account?

As part of my mortgage, Firstdirect are opening a '1st Account' for me. In the blurb it says about the £100 gift:
to qualify you need to transfer your salary/income of at least £1,500 per month within three months
What if I let my salary go into my existing account with LloydsTSB, then transfer £1,500 to my FD account a few days later? Will I still get the £100? I don't really want to completely switch everything, well certainly not yet anyway...

To get the £100 you only have to switch your salary not close your existing account.
It is the leaving payment of £100 that depends on having switched your account entirely.0 -

Yep that's OK, as long as you have more than £1,500 hitting your bank account you will be fine.
I transferred to First Direct in April and they have been brilliant.0
