I miss those frozen food centre places, when I lived up North every high street had at least one but in this part of London I've seen none :( I remember they used to do the big catering bags of McCain stuff for £1.50 xx

Heron foods I love that place!

My local had mini eggs 3 for £1 (100g each I think)
Mr Kipling lemon slices 18 for £1 (SO nice :D short dated though)
Cheese on toast packets- 3 for £1 proper nice aswell.

I applied for a job there, not heard back :( Imagine the discount :p:

I've never heard of this store, but funnily enough I got a pack of cooking bacon (odds and s*ds) on friday in Morrisons (haven't seen it for ages).
I will faff about trimming and chopping it for a whacking great big bacon/onion a spud layer this week! - yummy comfort food, and cheap (even with a great pile of cheese on top).
    xx

Yes my local Heron do mis-shaped bacon, usually thick slices. £1.50 for about 700g's.
AND Halls mentholyptus 6 packets for a £1. AND frozen breaded fish for a £1. AND they take the 30p coupon for 50/50 kingsmill bread.net 70p. Great shop.

3 packs (each pack has 2 pots in) of weight watchers rich chocolate desserts for £1.
Weight watchers Thai green curry, rice & green beans £1.
2 boxes of delmonte pineapple sticks (3 sticks per pack) for £1.
  • I got some decent bargains in the Thirsk branch on a day out this week, including Chicken Tonight Creamy Peppercorn sauce and Dolmio Bolognese Sauce - both 80p, use by Oct 2013, so stocked up on a few jars as they are handy when I need to make something in a hurry. I couldn't buy any frozen stuff though as it would have defrosted by the time we got home!
