4 Nights in America

Where to go?

I have a chance to go to anywhere in America for 4 nights only, does anyone have any suggestions? Would be flying from Heathrow or Gatwick.

Probably New York - I don't think I'd bother doing the longer flight over to the west coast for only a 4 day trip.

Totally depends what you want to do though - age, interests, who you're travelling with etc.
  • I went to las vegas for 3 nights last month, the usa is perfectly
do able in 4 days imo.
As others have said it all depends on what you want really,we go for sun, shopping and nice meals out so vegas suits us down to the ground.
I have been on over 10 trips to various places in the us and newyork was the only place i didnt like,we encountered a great deal of rudeness and everyone was always in a hurry(i suppose this can be the case in big cities although we didnt find this to be so in washington dc),it was also very busy and difficult to find your way around, however i know many people who love newyork so again its all down to personal choice.

    Thanks guys

I'm 29+2 ;) and the other half is 40, he wants to go Miami to relax, I want Vegas or maybe even Florida.

I don't want to sit on a beach all day, I would be sooooo bored.

    NEW YORK!
For 4 days, NY would be great, see a show, lots of sight seeing, shopping etc plus a fairly short flight! As to the comment above about getting lost in nyc, I found it incredibly easy to navigate around, the numbered streets make it far easier than other big cities i found!
Miami would be nice to relax, but 4 days is really not a long time to go anywhere, but NY in 4 days would be great!
If not NYC, then I'd say Vegas!!

Vegas has the potential to be relaxing - if you choose the right hotel, especially...but has loads to do as well...one of the things we like about the place. A holiday for the sake of relaxing alone would have us climbing the walls within 4 hours - but that's just us.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
