Can some one give my some advice regarding JSA me and my partner lost our jobs in Oct 2010 due to a conflict of interest we were allowed to claim until mach when they sent me a letter saying they had sanctioned my JSA till during that time I found a temp job working for the census when that finished I had a rapid reclaim but was then told I had exhausted my NI contributions so had to apply for incomed based JSA which I did my aprtner at this time had gone self employed so I had to fill in the relevant form to inform them of this and also they wanted to see her accounts for the business which I suplied them they then sent me a leetr 23rd Jun saying that due to a recent chage they had reduce my JSA to £47.43 then on the 1st July they sent me another letter saying following a recent change it had been reduced again £34.06 and again on the 18th saying following a recent change it was still £34.06 then finally on 1st Aug they said that following a recent change I was entitled to nothing.I dont know what these recent changes are they have not asked me for any further information and seem to have based everythin on the tax year 2008 to 2009 when me and my partner where both in full time employment. Is it normal to recieve letters nearly every fortnight stating my circumstances have changed and changing the amount of benefit I should get I feel like I am being victimised I apply for jobs go on interviews on all the courses they send me on go to my signing on dates everything they ask of me what is going n could anyone shed any light on this I have to speak to the decision maker tomorrow:(:(

Can some one give my some advice regarding JSA?
Me and my partner lost our jobs in Oct 2010 due to a conflict of interest. We were allowed to claim until March when they sent me a letter saying they had sanctioned my JSA. During that time I found a temp job working for the census, when that finished I had a rapid reclaim but was then told I had exhausted my NI contributions so had to apply for incomed based JSA. I did this. However, my partner at this time had gone self employed so I had to fill in the relevant form to inform them of this, they also wanted to see her accounts for the business which I suplied them. They then sent me a letter dated 23rd June saying that due to a recent chage they had reduce my JSA to £47.43. Then on the 1st July they sent me another letter saying following a recent change it had been reduced again £34.06 and again on the 18th saying following a recent change it was still £34.06 then finally on 1st Aug they said that following a recent change I was entitled to nothing.
I dont know what these recent changes are they have not asked me for any further information and seem to have based everythin on the tax year 2008 to 2009 when me and my partner where both in full time employment.

I've added some punctuation and paragraphs to the OP - this should make it easier for others to read and therefore comment.
OP, are you living with your partner and how much do they earn? It is likely that their income is too high for you to be eligible for full JSA. As far as the letters are concerned, yes, I know of others that have received multiple letters, they are automatically generated I think.0 -
I am living with my partner. At the momnet she is working 20hrs a week but as this is a fledgling business she has not taken any money out of it yet. I have sent them the accounts for the business, this was done around June and I received a letter saying following these changes they would award me £47.43. Since then they have not asked for any further proof of my partners earning yet have found it to continuosly deduct my JSA before eventually stopping it altogether. I would liek to know where they are getting their information from and why use informaion from the tax year 2008 to 2009 to base their decisions on ?.0

Are you able to make an appointment with an adviser or CAB to help you find out why such deductions are being made? Or have you already attempted to contact them to clarify? If so, what did they say?“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0

The post where I live is dreadful I got my letter 2pm took half an hour to get through to them then was told that they couldnt do anything and I would have to speak to a decision maker but that would take upto 3 hours, they shut at 5. So ahve to wait till tomorrow to speak to the decision maker (sounds like they should be in harry potter). Then my local CAB is no good its only open 2 days a week so will have to wait till tuesday to speak to them.0

Working Tax Credit will reduce the amount of JSA payable as it is taken into account as income in a JSA claim.Debt at highest May 04 - £65,639.22 - Started DMP with CCCS 1st June 04 & now self managed DMPDebt now 20th December 2015 £31677.13 Paid Off to date £33962.09 - just not going quickly enough!
Debt free date July 2024! I don't think so, it'll be going quicker than that!!!

love the way ppl come on and say only getting £47 p/w then nothing but forget to mention tax credits, council tax, mortgage assistance etc. Sure this all adds up to ££'s per week. So in fact are receiving quite a hefty sum from taxpayers.
Benefits are or should be for short term measures however the system stinks to high hell when ppl get more for not working - the sooner Universal credit comes in and restricts claimants that they wont be better off claiming than anyone who works the better.0
