So have you wrote that policy yet? It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0

One of my employees has been using the internet excessively . There are 200 - 300 non work related hits recorded on a daily basis.
She has been working with us for 5 years . We think now that this may have been going on for some time but only came to light now by chance.
We have no internet policies at the workplace but i want to sack her for gross miscodnuct rather than give her a warning.
You should have a written company policy that covers computer and Internet use to help control the cost of internet bandwidth and help companies maintain productivity. Your internet use policy should include steps to minimize security risks, for example by only allowing authorized employees to download and install software. Employees are paid for their time at work, so it’s natural to want them to use that time to complete work activities. Here's a good article to read about Internet & computer usage policies: http://www.timedoctor.com/biz3.0/why-you-need-an-internet-computer-usage-policy/0
