Bathroom Vanity Unit - Good or Bad?

I've always hated how built in bathroom units look but we recently saw these at bathrooms4all and I really like them!

We have a really small bathroom (about 210cmx170cm) and aren't sure if having a built in unit will make the room look too cramped as you aren't able to see much of the floor. It does mean it will give us a cupboard for keeping cleanings things in and it will also hide all the pipes which otherwise would have to be boxed in.
Does anyone have anything similar and what do you think?
Thanks
Charlotte

Wow. Obviously no-one proof-read their advert ....
"Double Soft Close Draws"
DRAWERS.....
Only you can judge how it will fill your room. Why not take the dimensions and make a mock-up of it from cardboard or similar, and see if that gives you a better impression?0 -
We're having a new shower room in an extension we're having built and have the same storage problem as you. We're almost certainly going for a vanity unit although not with a built-in loo next to it. Alternatively we'll opt for a base unit with a countertop basin.
To see where things fit I've found the web site bathroom-guides-planner very useful, especially as you can put a person on the plan to get a better idea of scale and to avoid narrow pinch points. (Sorry, as a new member I can't post links). Using this planner has told me we need to add 150mm to the size of the shower room by reducing the next door bedroom by the same amount.0 -
It doesn't actually say that the basin is ceramic - just check that out as some of these speciality washbasins on cupboards turn out to be some sort of plastic.0
