Lamin8 rustic oak flooring but the trim they use is not!

We are having lamin8 rustic oak flooring laid through downstairs apart from the kitchen area. The fitter has put down the flooring in the lounge but the trim around the fireplace is 'oak', neither the same shade or pattern! Apparently this is the trim for our flooring supplied by the manufacturers. It looks so different and the shop manager viewed and agreed . He then tried to get 'black' but the best he could get was a very dark grey....like kitchen work surface...Urgh. The fitter is returning on Monday to fit the rest of the flooring which requires 5 door trims.
What can we do. I love the floor but cannot face the trim offere, let alone as 5 dorways too.
When we ordered the flooring we assumed the trims would be the same...surely that is what we should expect?

I had much the same when I had mine fitted - the trims didn't match. I ended up having the floor going straight across the doorway between the hall and dining room so no trim, I settled on a silver trim for the living room but that was leading to carpet anyway.
