screw the banks

hi there this is what happened to me, i was running a small business (new start). i asked for a £200 overdraft (i was going on hols) and they wanted to charge me £500 for this. I had to go on holiday as it was booked for ages and it was a family thing anyway plus i was being an !!!! because of the crap trading period. I went and there was not enough in my account to cover the direct debits as i wasnt doing so well. I came back from holiday and the charges started flowing, £700 in charges later forced me to end my business, i had no other choice i was skint. now i am in the process of going bankrupt. This should be a fun year as my girlfriend has just had a little baby boy. i just keep going on on lol, anyway F**K the banks. bye

I appreciate that trading may have been tough and that you were having a rough time, but going on holiday obviously wasn't the wise course of action.

As a result you knew what would happen in relation to your direct debits etc. You incurred charges as a result.

So to be fair, the bank really isn't at fault here, you are. I agree their level of charges are disproportionate and thats why you are here, and you should claim these back.

If your going bankrupt, I take it these £700 in charges are not your only debt?

You should post on the Bankruptcy Supporters Thread over on the DFW forum for advice and guidance. Bakruptcy may not be the best option.

Congratulations on the baby boy also.
