I've narrrowed down my choice to the Nipper 360 Double, or the Baby Jogger double, but just wondered if anyone has any experience of these?
They will be for a newborn & 16 month old (who is very long).
The only thing that worries me about the Nipper is the pneumatic tyres getting a puncture, but having handled one I admit it is so light to push.
I will also be mainly walking (I don't drive, but will go in cars from time to time), and the nipper doesn't come with a shopping basket as standard, and the one you can buy for it looks a bit flimsy?
I will be mainly using the buggy for around town - BUT- will go to the woods etc, so it does need to handle roughher ground too (also to get to town we go over a road that needs re-tarmacing, and through a park).
I have a Maclaren Techno XLR now, and whilst I did love it, it is hard to push on the rougher pavements, and my back is now getting bad, so I guess a double buggy like that (with little wheels) would be worse to push with two kids?

Get some slime in the tyres and that will be one worry out of the way, if you get a puncture pump it back up and spin the wheels. I had a Phil & Teds myself, imported LONG before anyone in the UK had them (I got stopped wherever I went) and I loved the P&T, it was light and convenient, I'd have never chosen a side by side double.
I used to put my baby in the rear seat and padded it out so he did not fall down so he was not so enclosed. By the time the baby was heavy enough to tip the buggy the eldest was walking everywhere anyway so it was never an issue. I believe the design has changed now slightly from when I got mine.0 -
The twin maclaren type buggies are terrible to push when the children get bigger. Admittedly I had twins but the thought of pushing a baby and older child in one of those fills me with dread (sorry)
I've never a baby jogger one, but I had one very similar to the nipper for my twins (was an urban detour, before they did the nipper) and loved it if that helps. Even when they were almost 4 pushing it was no trouble and they had loads of room.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I have the Baby Jogger City Mini, it is a single although I'm sure they are comparable. I find it really light and easy to push and can hardly tell a difference when pushing on uneven ground. The City Mini is also really easy to fold up and store (one pull of a strap and it's done), and they fold up tiny (the wheels are also easily removable) - which may be something you need to consider if you travel with people with people with smaller cars. I used to have a Micra and this was the only pushchair that would fit! Some were 3 times the size of this one when folded, and size will be even more of an issue with a double - not sure what the 360 nipper is like for this?
The only issue I have is that the back wheels are fixed so it is sometimes difficult to turn it around tight corners (like in shops), I sometimes have to pick up the pushchair up by the handle a little to physically move it into position - not an issue for me while DS2 is small but it would probably be a big issue for you with a double, especially when the kids are a bit bigger.
It isn't an problem when you have more space as the front wheel is a swivel wheel so you can just turn it while pushing. Do check what wheels the double has though before I put you off as it may be different to the single, and other than this, it really is a great little pushchair.0
