Too many bedrooms!

Hi
We recently had a loft conversion, meaning our house now has 6 bedrooms. It's a normal semi rather than anything grand, but when I have tried to get some home insurance quotes from Moneysupermarket I have been refused by most insurers for having too many bedrooms!
We are foster parents, not aristocrats
, has anyone got any tips or recommendations. I also tried confused.com but it kept taking me to the car rather than home insurance section
thanks
Emma

In the majority of cases this will relate only to online quotes. I am afraid you need to go back to the old fashioned method of phoning round!0

As Archie says, it only prevents you getting bedroom rated policies and/or those with limited online offerings. The traditional route for home insurance is still available to you.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
