Well I just got an email saying

    Greetings from mothercare.com,

Your credit card payment for the above transaction could not be completed. An issuing bank will often decline an attempt to charge a credit card if the name, expiry date, or postcode you entered at Mothercare UK does not exactly match the bank's information.

Valid credit card information must be received within 10 days, otherwise your order will be canceled.

So I was thinking I could just go on and amend the order and all would be fine, but then it reads -

Please feel free to return to our web site to place a new order. You may wish to use a different payment method to pay for the order. Alternatively, if the payment method you used previously has been updated or revised in any way, you will need to enter that information so we can process your new order.

So I went back on and attempted to put in the codes again and the only one I can get to work is NLVU

Are they just at it because I'm pretty sure I put my details in correct? Dunno what to do now... The total comes to £31, but I much prefer the £21 it was on my first order!

  • Hmmm not entirely sure what's going on, just registered a new account in my OH's name and used his card details and managed to get it back down to £21.76 no problems...

Sounds like they have the wrong details for your card. Why don't you phone them about it ? I did last time on the happyland glitch after someone had entered the wrong expiry date.

The codes will work on the new account as some are for a one time only use.
I can't be bothered updating this anymore

I put all the details in though, it wasn't like they were stored or anything. I'll wait and see what happens with the order with my OH's card and if it goes through then I'll just leave it, if it doesn't go through I'll phone then because the email states -

Valid credit card information must be received within 10 days, otherwise your order will be canceled.

so I've got a bit of time to see what happens with the other order.
Hopefully it'll all work out in the end :D
