Hi All, This forum answers most questions and I live in hope...

My OM is trying to sell his car privately as it is insurance band 17 and the cost is going through the roof... Anyway, he has had no luck so he is going to take it to the local car auction where he'll get bottom price for it... Well, it has half a tank of petrol in it.. which at today's prices, is almost worth more than the car... Is there anyway for him to get the petrol out before he takes it to the auction so that he can put it into mine? He was going to 'sook' the tank but, of course, he can't get the pipe into the petrol tank...

He can't take the car to his work to use up the petrol as the insurance ran out at the end of the month....

Thanks in anticipation....

It's either suck (some are designed to resist sticking a tube in to prevent fuel theft), or undo a hose. Is it worth the hassle for £30?
