Hi
Please could anyone advise of a reputable company that could arrange a minibus for 10 people from Leeds Bradford to Newcastle Upon Tyne.
We are landing at 1635 hrs on Tuesday 11th October.
The Jet2 flights were over £30 per person cheaper than to Newcastle direct. (and ncle would not have left Alicante till 2300 hrs).
I have received a quote from taxiquoter for £272.35.
Has anybody heard of this company?
Many Thanks.

I'd suggest looking in Yellow Pages (or yell.com) at local taxi/minibus companies based in both Newcastle and Leeds and phone them for quotes.
Trouble is, its nearly a 100 mile journey, so almost 200 mile round trip (whether you use a Leeds or Newcastle based company) so the company will need to factor in the 100 mile empty trip, and the hour they can't earn money travelling back. No idea if that price is good or not, but I do think you may find the cost of this eating up a fair proportion of your £30 saving.0 -
As said the added flight cost would work out much the same as for a taxi.
I live in Harrogate and I use a local Taxi Company when I am travelling.
Paying £70 right now for Manchester which is 90 miles and LeedsBradford from here is £20 16 miles.
Did go to Heathrow last year and paid £195 each way. For me I think I would rather pay an extra £30 for the flight.

there's a bus from leeds/bradford airport which will drop you in town (don't know the website offhand sorry) and then you could catch a train. a bit of a faff I know but should be a hell of a sight cheaper.0

actually you can also catch a bus from the airport to Harrogate which has a railway station which is nearer to newcastle than leeds is but don't know if they do direct trains to newcastle0

Thank you all,
the saving in flight cost was only part of the reason to fly into leeds/brad.
Even with the length of time the drive would take we will be home before due to take off from Alicante, saving another days holiday from work the following day.MollyJoe0 -
Unless something has changed then you'd have to change trains at either Leeds or York.actually you can also catch a bus from the airport to Harrogate which has a railway station which is nearer to newcastle than leeds is but don't know if they do direct trains to newcastle
As for OP I'd suggest looking at the train - you may get a group fare0
