Is it a kwik Fit type place? They probably want to con you into needing new discs and pads.0 -
Not KF its a peugeot main dealer !!0

Accidentally 'forget' to take the key. As they do not need to removed your wheels, then they won't ask where it is.Never Knowingly Understood.

hi i am a mot tester and you are not allowed to remove any thing from the car while it is been moted not eaven a wheel trim0
-
however looking the other way
if they call you and you want them to do repair work
you would then have to go back to the dealers with the key0 -
No, but it will help with repairs. I would drop it off if repairs need doing. Forget it though, don't tell them you're not giving it to them.0

They don't remove the wheels from the car, but as has been said, they might be being practical in that if it needs new tyres or other work requiring the wheels to be removed, it would benefit you and them if them it was present to save an unnecessary journey and a waste of time. Forget the possibility of being scammed and the like, as that's irrelevant and they wont carry out any work without your sayso anyway!0
