Parking Ticket Vehicle Control Services

Hi Guys!

I received a ticket from Vehicle Control Services a couple of months ago and have been ignoring their letters as advised on this website. This will be the 3rd letter they have sent and it is from Roxburghe and looks like the examples posted on the site. My concern is that Graham White Solicitors rang my house this morning but I wasn't in so my mam, obviously not knowing who they were or why they were ringing, gave them my mobile number! They haven't rang yet and I very much intend to ignore any unknown numbers if they do ring. I just wanted to check is it normal that they ring you? It is easy to ignore the letters but I am becoming increasingly concerned now they have my phone number

Any advice greatly appreciated!

You have two choices. Just put the phone down or tell them that the "debt" is disputed and should be passed back to the parking company. Any more calls you receive from them will be treated as harassment (under the Consumer Credit act), and you will be reporting them to the DTI and to Trading Standards.

dont worry, though if they ring your mob you could say,, hello ,,buckingham palace??????/ or pretend you are a lady of the night????/ or say hello,,pannone&pannone solicitors????? just ignore.do not worry,,have a drawer full of loo paper from roxburghe/graham (i am a prend solicitor) white.who just hapen to share the same address/office.

and, as an aside, ask your mum to get a number (in future) for you to return calls, rather than giving out your number.

Then you can ignore their number, and she won't feel like she's being unhelpful. Could be as simple as 'I'm sorry, I don't have his mobile number to hand but if you give me your number I'll pass it on to him'.

Note that Graham White and Roxburghe is one and the same (PO Box 342, Lavatory Park Road, West Byfleet, Surrey KT14 6YX).

They have NO RIGHT to telephone you, I doubt they will try this with me as I am on their band waggon. All letters from the above address get sent back, two so far. I mark them "REFUSED".

If someone arrives at the door, I'll tell him blunty he's got five seconds to !!!!!! off out of my site before I call 999.

Sorry if you find it offensive. My intention has not been to upset readers, least of all the helpful and constructive members such as you. I realise that we address males and females and it isn't always clear who is what though I've always based my filter-codecracking language on the fact that to drive and be posting, you'd have to be a certain age and we won't have children; this is where I draw the line, I won't use expletives in front of innocent children.

Note also that I haven't used it directly AT another person, and it has only ever been used when attributed to the common enemy, you know who!

I'll try to immoderate, but don't forget, swearing or not, for most people this will generate a "!!!!" and you can guess what was being said by its context.

It doesn't offend me despite my username I am a hairy !!!!! man in my mid 50s been in the haulage business all my life, so I have heard and used worse!

At the risk of being castigated for being offended for others [Or is that just in discussion time] it was actually my wife who said how can you type that without it being edited!;)

Thanks for the replies! Actually got a text from them advising I ring them urgently...erm I don't think so! Definately won't be paying them a penny until I get a letter with the date and time I have to be at court ! The whole thing can only be described as ridiculous!
