in Credit cards
Hi all,
I've just been sent this in the post, the "Advantage Private" mastercard - stated as a black account, black credit card etc. about 100 times over in all of the pamflets i've been given.
The old black card was arguably the best looking cards around, have they changed it aesthetically, or have i just been sent the wrong card?
The one i've got is some really light purple - red edges still kept there, and it looks....really, really bad.
Any information is greatly appreciated.
Thanks (and sorry for the relatively lame post, just a bit gutted - old card can be found by googling as i'm not allowed to post links [sorry!])

The Advantage Private account has been replaced by the Black account as it says on their site so I suspect they are just sending out old cards to get rid of them.0

So do you have a Black Account?
The Natwest Private Black Credit Card is black, but the criteria is that you need to have a Black Account also.Anything that I do say, is strictly my opinion

Hi, thanks both for the replies - yes i do have a black account and have met all of the criteria to get one. I've had the actual black account for about a month or so now. Any ideas why this may have happened and what the difference is between the black credit card and the one i have?
thanks again!0 -
Do people really take out accounts/cards just for the poxy design/colour of the cards?0

TBH, if you're putting a high salary through a bank and paying a large fee to hold a specific type of account tailored to your income and needs, you'd expect the means of accessing the account to reflect it's prestige status.
I fully understand the OP's position.
As an analogy, would you be happy with a Solo or Electron card if you had a good salary and ran your account perfectly with good credit?
Same principle really.
OP- you could report your card lost in a few months and they should replace it with the new one, if it is indeed the Black accounts you've got and not Advantage PrivateCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I couldn't give a monkeys nipples about what the card looked like - the only card i don't like taking out my wallet is the vanquis one, that gets hidden behind every other card when i open my wallet. The only real security that a man can have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience and ability.0

You want to go back to black?0

I'm actually quite confused as to what you're after.
You've mentioned the old Black (credit) Card, yet described the debit card?
See if this answers your questions:
