Well talk about no-one seeming to know. lol! (not directed at you jalexa)
If you key in "average energy consumption in households UK" in google
just on the first page alone, the average varies from 3300KwH to 6000K
The university of Strathclyde have this on theirs
"Listed below are some examples of the varying levels of electricity consumption from household to household.
1. Working Couple - 4,117 kWh electricity
2. Single Person - 3,084 kWh electricity
3. Family with two children - 5,480 kWh electricity
(Parents working, children at school)"
We'd fall into the latter category, but my wifes been home 24/7 with our baby so we'd undoubtedly use more. Shes gone back to work so I expect our consumption to fall. My brother-in-laws family, his wife works from home so is in most of the time, and he also is renovating the house so has a lot of tools plugged in every night and weekend.
So I'd guess thats why they are higher.
My freezer and fridge are both A rated, I'm pretty sure the dishwasher and washing machine are too.
I've ordered an energy monitor to see if we have a drain somewhere.
My wife hoovers 3 times a day, I AM NOT KIDDING! Also will easily drink 8 cups of tea at home a day.0 -

I'm not defending or justifying the "3,300" but I think that is the "official" figure.
Anyway the second part of my post was what is your annual gas consumption? Scanning quickly through your OP you mentioned "dual fuel" but I haven't noticed any figure for your gas consumption but without that nobody can comment about the "savings" figures you quote (which anyway were way out because you used the gas price for the electricity (or the comparison website was temporarily wrong).
And just for the record, not defending or justifying, the "official" gas average is 16,500kWhrs.
Anyway I'm out of here because I've lost track of what your OP objective was.0 -

The source is Ofgem, and is used by all the energy suppliers.
It is the typical medium consumption figures (16,500kWh gas, 3,300 kWh electricity)
http://www.ofgem.gov.uk/Media/FactSheets/Documents1/domestic%20energy%20consump%20fig%20FS.pdf
From the website you quote (which appears to be about 10 years old, and so presumably doesn't account for modern energy saving devices) it states:Throughout this website it is intended to take an average annual electricity consumption of 3,880kWh."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
