ADT alarm master reset code

I am so  with ADT.
We moved into our home and it had a maintained ADT alarm. We kept it going for a couple of years and then had some building work doen.
Lo and behold the builder chopped the alarm wire.
ADT came out but I decided not to have it reconnected as it was a mega call out and reconn charge, it was going to be cheaper to have an independent one installed from new!!!
Anyway, unbeknowns to me, the engineer did reconnect it and we got a massive £400 bill!!!!!
After nearly a year  of wrangling with them, they agreed to halve the bill and I cancelled the contract.
The alarm worked fine as a standalone system until last week hubby opened the door and forgot to turn it off!
ADT now want £120 to provide me with the master reset code so I can use it as a standalone system !!
Cheeky sods!
I know that these codes tend to be generic and am just hoping someone here can help me.
I would welcome any advice please ???

Hi,
We're in the same boat (we have an Accord XPC) that was ADT but is no longer on contract. But we don't know the engineer code - have you sorted your alarm? Thanks.

Try talking to a local alarm installer. They often have access to the engineers codes for resetting the system. If they do they will be a lot cheaper than £120 !0
