Asda decide which 8 items are comparable. I have had 10 items on a receipt before and they have told me I don't have the 8 items that qualify for comparison.

Or to be more exact, ASDA decide whether or not any particular item falls within the excluded categories. I've had receipts (not neccessarily my receipts you understand) with 10 or more items listed that have similarly failed the 8 item test - presumably because some of the items were jewellery or whatever. It might or might not be the case that 'This Water' falls into an excluded category.

Incidentally I once had one ASDA receipt that apparently failed the 8 item test. However when I reinputed the details with the wrong time, I got a result. So it's worthwhile trying that tweak if all else fails.

From my experience though if an item is on the Asda section of my supermarket it WILL count as one of the eight.
From now on I will always buy at least 10 items just to make sure.

    Morning everyone!

Thank you for the shopping list MT - just to let you know, I went into my local Co-op yesterday and the Flora Buttery had gone back up to it's normal price, when I was in on Tuesday, it was £1, so looks like Tuesday was the last day for it.
