Why not get the board mods to change the rules on the grabbit board NOT to allow the posting of coupons. The simple reason being that there is already a decated section.. ie this one....
If you all agree i'll ask later when home..using phone at mo...
Totally agree with this. Seems like the best solution:)0 -
Is anyone still bothering with the McCains spud shillings thing that was mentioned about six weeks ago?
I have been very pleasantly surprised on a couple of occasions now when the points total seemed to go up overnight.0 -
Hi guys, going back to coupons on ebay, take a look at this completed listing, you may need to sign into ebay to view the page, but take a look at this......

Gosh, what will MT have to say about all the off-topic posting when she returns?
These situations as discussed have gone "round robin" for ages. Similarly when Tesco in particular took coupons as cash (pre Oct 09) and again during and after dtd.
At the end of the day there will always be those who take a mile when given an inch, those who always like to cross boundaries and those who are just plain greedy. No amount of whinging, or begging them on an open forum is going to change humanity. I imagine that its a sign of the times, I read recently that food shoplifting had increased significantly since the recession, and then we all saw with our own eyes the catastrophic looting that accompanied the recent rioting - all greed driven.
If I recall correctly the main reason that Tesco withdrew their previously generous coupon acceptance policy was not entirely down to mis-use - it was pressure from and a legality with regard to the manufacturers who claimed that the coupons were being mis-redeemed.
I believe it did coincide with various branches of Tesco being swamped by a deluge of pedigree dog food vouchers which were then available online which gave over £6 savings in one hit.
Personally I have used 14 campbells soup coupon and 3 shreddies. I have a nice little stash in my garden shed of bits and bobs accrued from voucher/offer use and aspire to a bigger stash but space hinders that. However, multiples of 10, 20, 30... well.
I think we all have to look to our conscience - for some this has been blurred.
Tesco & Sainsburys (no one else seems to stock campbells do they?) will probably suck their cheeks in but at the end of the day the vouchers are legit and the item is being bought so they should get their money back from the manufacturer.
Thing is, if this thread is taken down, others will pop up elsewhere. UKhotdeals usually have it before mse anyway.Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

I got 100 packets of shreddies in the end and gave the family a load of them. Thanks to the person that posted the voucher in the first place.0

lol, i think if more crops up I wouldn't be as subtle.
It was hardly subtle having a pop at a fairly new member who asks for a bit of gentleness.
I don't see what the problem with posting on grabbit is unless you want to keep the coupons to yourselves of course?"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin
