can't hear my lappy

unless i'm going deaf,the sounds from my laptop are getting fainter.All settings have been checked and everthings on max.:confused:
any help would be most welcome.

    Some laptops have buttons or wheels to turn the volume up as well as all the settings in the mixer.

    also check start>programs>accessories>entertainment>volumecontrol... pull them higher if they're low

    Try plugging in some headphones or external speakers to see if the volume is ok on them ..if it is then its an internal speaker problem.
