Here is there actual email, they are now only asking for £5.

Good afternoon

Further to our telephone conversation this afternoon, and your email to my colleague, I write to confirm that, in view of the circumstances you describe, we will not be pursuing payment for £30. As a gesture of goodwill, a payment of £5 is requested, as this would have been the fee for the duration of your stay in the short stay car park.

May I also take the opportunity to apologise that you did not receive the email from my colleague.

If you wish to pay over the phone, please call 01279 666068. I am usually at my desk between 8am and 4pm. In the event that I am not, I will of course call you back.
