Does anyone know if this is a safe programme please.

Most of those programmes are free to download and run a free scan, return a long list of drivers, then when you click to get them, it requires an upgrade to a paid for programme.

In general, if the drivers you have work, leave them be

Jeremy Clarkson says yes, however the Hamster and James May say no. Computer cannot compute .... Mind you Starsky and Hutch was a crap program.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I am having problems with my HP PSC1410 printer. I had to uninstall it and it won't now reinstall, looking on the HP site I saw the driver detective.

There is an install wizard here, in utility and diagnostics

Did it say it was an HP product? If HP say driver detective is theirs, it should be safe

Most printers will not install if they are switched on when you are running the software CD

I use Driver Detective. It works so well that I pay for it but then again, I have a business selling laptops and some makes of Advent and E-Systems use some very hard to find drivers so its worth the money to me.
