Fuel expenses/mileage

Hi,

I have a cleaning business that has been up and running for 3 months. I've been very meticulous with my expenses and everythings going well.

One thing I havent accounted for is fuel/mileage expenses. I understand I am entitled to claim these back a number of ways but should I include these in my monthly expenses?

What is the easiest way to keep track of what I am entitled to? What systems do people use ?
thanks

The simplest way is to claim a payment per business mile. Has your metriculous records included noting what mileage you have done?
Do you have a vehicle used exclusively for business purposes.

    Hi,

I use my car for my business and also for my day to day social and commuting use.

I know I need to seperate the 2 costs and unfortunately my 'meticulous' records do not show this even though I have made rough notes on business use.
It wouldnt be a problem to retrospectively add it up as I work on a monthly round.

    thanks
