Just wondering if anyone knows if B&Q are having any bathroom deals in the near future? Have to start looking for a new one and seen one I like in there but they don't seem to have had any decent discounts or deals on bathrooms for a while, some are discounted a bit at the moment but s*ds law not the one I like!! I thought they may have something over the August bank holiday, don't want to shell out for one then find out the following week it's got 20% off or something!!!
Also any reports on if they are any good would be great!

Dont know about any current offers but def worth waiting for if none at the moment. we got bathroom from there couple of years ago, the one with the D shaped bath and sink, and got a deal where the bath (about £800) was free. When it came, we were very unlucky and it had hairline crack around plug. They delivered a replacement within a couple of days, depsite the fact it had been in my garage awaiting fitting for 6 weeks so I was impressed with service.
Worth asking if you know anyone with a tradepoint card as this may get you some discount and seems to make the order time bit quicker too.:wall:Trying to get a grip :think:0 -
Do you have a City Plumbing bathroom showroom near you? http://www.cityplumbing.co.uk/branchLocator - although I'm not sure if all their branches have showrooms.
We looked at B&Q, Bathstore and City when we did our bathrooms. Ended up buying suites made by Roca from City Plumbing. They were cheaper than anything we had liked in B&Q/Bathstore and substantially better quality. We took our plumber shopping with us (helps that my brother is a plumber) and they gave him a large trade discount on everything as he said he'd go back there when he does work for future customers. Saved 20-40% on every item. :money:
Even before discounts they were cheaper and better than B&Q or Bathstore.0 -
If you are placing a reasonable sized order (ie bath, whb, toilet, taps etc) with B&Q it is always worth speaking with the kitchen/bathroom manager as he has the abililty to apply personal discount codes if he wishes and if he thinks he may loose a decent sale he has the authority to 'negotiate'.0

look elsewhere, yes there will be discounts but........
Try googling poor quality, plumbers wont fit, faulty....try different combinations you will get a supprise.0 -
Good morning: purchase your sanitaryware and brassware from plumbing merchants/independents rather than the sheds...higher quality/lower prices.

Thanks for all the replies! I have gone to local shops and got brochures and been looking on line too, the prices seem to vary so much from one place to another it's doing my head in!
I am on a tight budget, sort of trying to get bits and pieces when I can to all add up to a whole bathroom!
I got the tiles from B&Q when they had the 20% off deal. Just that I saw a nice suite in there and not seen a similar style elsewhere.
I have been on Plumbworld today just out of interest adding up what a bathroom would cost from there, need a corner shower too so that bumps up the price.
The showers are also 'doing my head in'!!! They seem to range from very cheap say around £180 for enclosure and tray to over £1000 (or sky's the limit) I am sure you get what you pay for and if I just won the lottery it wouldn't be a problem but I am working to a budget of around £800 max for bath, sink, loo, shower enclosure, tray, wall mounted shower and mixer, sink tap, bath shower mixer tap and wastes.0 -
Hi: something has got to give i.e. either increase your £800 budget or reduce the spec e.g. as a compromise drop the separate shower and have a bath with shower over instead. Don't forget to factor in the cost of sundries as well.

Another vote for City Plumbing here. Remember to ask nicely for a discount - we got about 25% off listed prices for everything just for asking! Knowledgeable staff and great quality products.0
