Is simply cancelling the DD enough to cancel insurance..?

Thx for the replies. I called them up, the rep just said that if I've cancelled the DD then there's nothing more to be done. Probably the shortest phone call I've ever made

What type of insurance is it?
If it's car or house insurance and the company cancel it because of non-payment, then when you get insurance next you will have to answer "yes" to the question Have you ever had insurance cancelled? We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

Please note that whilst someone companies will accept cancellation of mandate as cancellation of contract, there is nothing in the law that says that and it is a choice they decide. Legally, all it does is stop the method of payment. If in doubt, notify the company directly. Especially if it is a contract that involves a credit agreement (like insurance often does on monthly payments).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
