Eliminating a line

I have a BT land line plus another line that I use for Broadband & Sky TV. My broadband supplier is SKY my land line BT. I originally had two lines because I had used all the REN value of my land line with phone extensions. I have now changed my old analogue handsets for a 4 station digital set up which I believe reduces the REN value. i now want to move my broadband to my original BT phone number. Any ideas?

Not straightforward with Sky - I believe it's still the case that they won't let you have two broadband accounts on one Sky account and to cancel and resupply on the other line will mean you lose your access for a couple of weeks.
I'm in exactly the same situation - I signed up with Plusnet ADSL on the other line (£6.49/month 1 month contract), waited a week or so until it was working then cancelled Sky BB and the other BT line and will migrate "back" to Sky BB after a month.
Only fly in the ointment was I miscalculated how much the kids download - used up the Plusnet monthly 10GB peak time allowance inside a week and have been billed an additional £5 for 5GB twice since - oops.0
