PPI Cancelled by bank without notification after i became unemployed

Hi,
In 2005 i took out a loan with LLoyds TSB and they insisted i took out a payment protection plan. in september of 2006 i became unemployed (my work is specialist and i have subcontracted work over the past 15 months since i took out my loan on my graduate acc) and i went through the rigmorole of claiming ion my PPI, only to have the claim refused and being told it was the wrong type of unemployment.
the bank has since cancelled my PPI without informing me, (kind of releived not having to pay it tbh) the past few months i have been paying my income support into my account and i have been finacially crippled, Jan 2nd there was not enough money in my Acc to pay my loan and now started incurring charges, i receive approx £230 a month in income support of which i have commitments exceeding £400 a month, really freaked out by my current financial situation, have been offered other jobs but havn't had the money to relocate.
have spoken with bank and they will not extend my overdraft past the current £500
can anyone please advise? I have looked on this site and have seen how to relclaim my acc charges so that is something, but what about my payment protection? doesn't lloyds tsb have to cancel my original agreement b4 they cancel my ppi?
thanks
AJ

Sounds like you were missold it in the first place so they should refund the lot. This won't be a short term return though but you should pursue it.
I'm not being funny but can't you find any kind of job?? 25 hours a week on minimum wage would cover your commitments.0
