Flight Booking Help

I have read threads here and elsewhere in the webiverse to try and ascertain when is the best time to book my flights.

We already have the dates we are travelling confirmed (June 2012).

Initially I assumend booking earlier would be best but is this the case with air travel?

We are looking at Business class (BA) or Executive (Air Canada) flights from London to Vancouver returning from Calgary.

People mention the best window is 8-12 weeks before travel, as transatlantic flights have increased in price this year is that likely to be the case?

Will we benefit from any sales that may happen over the christmas/new year period?

Any help would be appreciated.

BA business class sales come around every so often and should give you a significant saving over the regular price. Just bear in mind that Olympics travel might drive up demand and thus prices.

I now subscribe to this thread on flyertalk which gives information about BA Sales, maybe even before they are officially announced on the BA website?
