IT kitchens rally aren't great but it depends entirely on your budget. You can get IT stuff really cheap if you pick the right day. We had IT kitchen stuff in our old bathroom. I was fine with it there because it wasn't as high use as the kitchen.

If my budget was tin, I'd go for an IT kitchen with sale doors and a 15 or 20% of day on the cabinets. Bit more, I'd go to Ikea, bit more than that I'd go to Howdens. I wouldn't bother with Cooke & Lewis becaus you have to wait forever for a date even and they're renowned for not even delivering it all on the day. I've had to cancel a Cooke & Lewis order before simply because they couldn't arrange a date.

as i'm just in the process of installing a b&q cooke & lewis kitchen, i thought i'd chip in.

4-5 week delivery, everything came in one go, delivery guys helpful & careful.
    solid oak doors were fine
cabinets were variable, out of 6 i've assembled so far 3 have faults requiring replacement parts sent ( trim missing from edging, coating damaged etc). they fit together ok and seem same spec as wickes, howdens etc but quality control is done by the customer. the cabinets all seem to have scratches or traces of glue. i know mostly these are not visible but still.....
customer service from norbord (makers) is very good though, next day delivery of replacements.

would i buy from them again? not sure

Agreed. Flat pack can't be compared to factory assembled, jig set units.

I am not sure that I would agree flat pack are rubbish. IMHO, being assembled in a factory does not necessarily make the units better quality or any stronger.
