Hi

I have a Heatline S30 Compact boiler. 2 People living in a 2 bedroom + 1 box room terraced house. I have no TRV's on any of my 7 rads and I was just wondering from peoples experience will I benefit from having a room thermostat installed. Will I save money on my Gas bills? I would prefer a wireless one.

Thanks

IMO get TRVs put on all the rads and a programable thermostat. wireless ones are great so you can play about with the best position. leave the timer for the heating on constant with a programable stat and use the timing features for your heating requirements

Are you saying you have no heating controls at all (apart from the hot water temperature setting on the boiler, maybe)?

But either way, the answer has to bea definite 'Yes' to a room stat. Preferably the optimiser kind (as made by http://www.warmworld.co.uk/ but these days there are many other makers also). Ideally, TRVs too (except in the room where the room stat is).

I have a control knob on the boiler for CH. Thats all.

I was wondering about the Towerstat RF. There was some problems with the earlier model with only three connections but the new one has 5 connections suitable for volt free aswell.

    Thanks

You surely must have a timer of some sorts for your CH and Hot Water?

As stated above TRV's, and programable stat is the way to go.

If cost of fitting is a factor, fit TRVs first as they are prety cheap, easy to fit and you will get the quickest payback in savings.

Timer for CH and Hot Water is on demand. Heating is on low majority of the day.
    Thanks
