April honeymoon

Hi everyone
I am looking for suggestions for where we could go on honeymoon in April next year.
I fancy Maldives/Hawaii/Mauritious however they are coming out at around £2000 each for 10 nights from London. Which the other half has said is far too much.
He fancies either a Carribean Cruise or Italy.
I love Greece and the mediteranean.
We both want something special preferably 5 star spa hotel that is not over comercialised.
I have been looking at 5 star Malta today flying from Newcastle on 17 April for 7 Nights (we were really wanting 10) and it is coming out at less than £1000 for the two of us, which I think is really good.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for a luxury honeymoon on a budget flying from either Newcastle (closest airport) Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester or London?
We would like a spa hotel ideally and a suite or private villa type accomodation.
We can fly any time from the 16 April 2012.
Many thanks in advance for your suggestions

You dont need to pay £2000 to go to Hawaii if you really want to go there. Just avoid the over priced packages and book flight and accomodation seperately yourself.
In April you should be able to get a flight to Maui (airport code OGG) for around £650-£750 each (try air canada, american airlines and united). If you stay in a condo - have a look at www.vrbo.com the prices drop on April 15th each year, so they will be around $80 a night - so £50 ish. So for 10 nights would be £500 for both of you.
So worse case £750 each for the flight, plus £250 each for accomodation would be £1000 each, so total of £2000.
I got married there in April and had to sort out flights and accomodation for my friends and family and no one paid £2000 each! So if you did want to go there I know a lot of condos I can recommend.
I would personally avoid the med in April as it will not have warmed up that much by then. Thats probably why you are finding good prices.0
