It doesn't look unclean, just a bit untidy.

It'll never cease to amaze me how people expect someone to pay tens if not hundreds of thousands of pounds for something and not even bother tidying, cleaning and decluttering, especially as most people don't see beyond the mess and decor. For one thing it just makes me think they don't maintain and look after their house."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -

I agree, if they can't be bothered to make an effort for some photos god knows what else they haven't bothered with
My particular favourite are the clothes hanging in the landing and is there a cupboard door missing in the kitchen?0 -
It could be a rental property.
Sometimes tenants are less than 'helpful' when the places go up for sale.0 -

Far too serious for this thread really, but that's possibly the reason why some people never find that bargain they seek.
Yes, houses that haven't been kept pristine probably have a few 'issues' lurking, but sometimes the tarted up ones have those too, behind the neat façade.
I certainly knew the owners of my place weren't hiding anything! :rotfl::rotfl:'Interesting' lives and a brilliant job elsewhere meant a great price for a quick sale.0 -

That aside, it's a lovely house for a fairly modern building.0 -

So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0

Me too.
It's depressing when you're selling to think that people may not buy your house because they don't like your choice of furniture or the colour of the paint on the walls.0 -

My parents house when they bought it was painted in some wacky colours - pink in the lounge, red, green and white in one of the bedrooms (kid was a dieheard Man U fan) and terracotta orange in the kitchen. They had to put up with the decor for a few months.
Since painting the rooms in more neutral colours, the rooms feel a lot bigger.
The shocking pink in the lounge were giving me a headache.
No-one will move into a property like the decor in every room. The only exception is new builds as its a blank canvas for the new owners.0
